Tìm hiểu Passive voice (câu bị động)
Khái niệm
Câu bị động (Passive voice) hay còn gọi là cấu trúc câu bị động, là một cấu trúc ngữ pháp trong tiếng Anh trong đó chủ ngữ của câu chuyển từ người thực hiện hành động thành người nhận hành động, trong khi người thực hiện hành động trở thành tân ngữ.
Một điểm quan trọng trong việc sử dụng câu bị động là thì của câu bị động phải tương ứng với thì của câu chủ động. Điều này có nghĩa là nếu câu chủ động sử dụng thì hiện tại đơn, thì câu bị động cũng phải sử dụng thì hiện tại đơn.
Cấu trúc câu bị động
Câu bị động có cấu trúc chuyển từ câu chủ động như sau:
– Câu chủ động: S1+V+O1
-> Câu bị động: S2+be+V(ed/p.p)+(by)O2
Phương pháp chuyển câu
Sau đây là phương pháp chuyển câu bị động, các em cần nắm rõ để thuận tiện trong quá trình làm bài tập dạng này
+ Bước 1: Cần xác định đúng các thành phần chủ ngữ, tân ngữ, động từ trong câu chủ động và xác định thì sẽ được dùng trong câu bị động.
+ Bước 2: Đưa tân ngữ lên làm chủ ngữ, chủ ngữ xuống làm tân ngữ.
+ Bước 3: Chuyển động từ thành bị động (be+V(ed/p.p))
+ Bước 4: Thêm “by” nếu tân ngữ quan trọng và xác định.
Ví dụ:
1. Everyone loves Timmy. (Tất cả mọi người yêu quý Timmy.)
-> Tom is loved by everyone. (Timmy được yêu quý bởi tất cả mọi người.)
2. He stole my car. (Anh ấy đã cướp chiếc xe của tôi.)
-> My car was stolen by him. (Xe của tôi đã bị cướp bởi anh ta).
Các dạng passive voice phổ biến
Câu bị động có 2 tân ngữ:
+ Dạng câu chủ động: S + V + O1 (tân ngữ gián tiếp) + O2 (tân ngữ trực tiếp)
+ Dạng câu bị động:
- Trường hợp 1: Khi tân ngữ gián tiếp làm chủ ngữ chính trong câu: S + be + V(cột 2) + O2
- Trường hợp 2: Khi tân ngữ trực tiếp làm chủ ngữ chính trong câu: S + be + V(cột 2) + giới từ + O1
Câu bị động có V_ing
- Dạng câu chủ động: V + Sb + Ving
- Dạng câu bị động: V + Sth/Sb + being + V(cột 2)
Câu bị động với động từ tri giác (Verb of Perception)
- Dạng câu chủ động: S + V + Sb + Ving/to V-inf
- Dạng câu bị động: S + to be + V(cột 2) + Ving/to V-inf
Câu bị động với cấu trúc “Nhờ ai làm gì đó”
+ Trường hợp 1:
- Dạng chủ động: S + have + sb + V
- Dạng bị động: S + have + sth + V2/ed
+ Trường hợp 2:
- Dạng chủ động: S + get + sb + to + V
