Tìm hiểu Passive voice là gì?
Passive voice là một cấu trúc ngữ pháp trong tiếng Anh dùng để trình bày thông tin mà người nói không muốn hoặc không cần phải chỉ rõ người hoặc đối tượng thực hiện hành động. Thay vì nhấn mạnh người hoặc đối tượng thực hiện hành động (active voice), câu ở dạng passive voice tập trung vào hành động chính được thực hiện lên đối tượng.
Passive voice thường được sử dụng trong các tình huống sau:
- Khi người nói không biết ai thực hiện hành động hoặc không quan trọng ai thực hiện.
- Khi người nói muốn tập trung vào đối tượng của hành động thay vì người thực hiện.
- Khi người nói muốn làm câu chuyện hoặc bài viết trở nên trang trọng hơn.
Tuy nhiên, cần lưu ý rằng không phải tất cả các câu đều có thể chuyển từ dạng active sang dạng passive và ngược lại. Cấu trúc passive voice thường phụ thuộc vào loại động từ và ngữ cảnh của câu.
Các công thức Passive voice
+ Công thức Passive voice 2 tân ngữ : Công thức ở dạng chủ động: S + V + O1 + O2
Cách đổi câu bị động:
- Đưa tân ngữ gián tiếp lên đầu câu: S + be + VpII + O1.
- Đưa tân ngữ trực tiếp lên đầu câu: S + be + VpII + giới từ + O2.
+ Công thức Passive voice với V + V-ing: V + somebody + V-ing
Cách đổi: V + somebody/something + being + V(P2)
+ Công thức Passive voice với động từ tri giác: S + V + somebody + V-ing/to V-inf
Cách đổi: S + to be + V(P2) + V-ing/to V-inf
+ Công thức Passive voice kép: S + V1 + that + S2 + V2 + ….
Cách đổi: Có 3 trường hợp
- It is + V1-pII + that + S2 + V2 + …
- S2 + is/am/are + V1-pII + to + V2 (nguyên thể) +… (chỉ dùng khi V2 ở thì hiện tại đơn hoặc tương lai đơn)
- S2 + is/am/are + V1-pII + to have + V2-pII + …
+ Công thức Passive voice với câu mệnh lệnh:
- Trường hợp 1: Đổi từ dạng chủ động sang bị động: V + O!. Cách đổi: Let + O + be + V(p2)
- Trường hợp 2: Đổi từ dạng chủ động sang bị động: It’s one’s duty to + V-inf. Cách đổi: S + to be + supposed to + V inf
- Trường hợp 3: Đổi từ dạng chủ động sang bị động: It’s necessary to + V-inf. Cách đổi: S + should/must + be + P2
+ Công thức Passive voice với câu sai khiến:
- Trường hợp 1: Công thức chủ động: S + have + somebody + V Công thức bị động: S + have + something + P2 + by sb
